"Sho Bu " - Victorious Warrior or Winning Warrior

The Shobu Dojo is a private club in the Naperville-Aurora, IL headed by Sensei Kenyon Robinson. Traditional Japanese Martial Arts are taught; while focusing on realistic applications and how to deal with them effectively and efficiently.

The Shobu Dojo is a satellite to the Shorisha Dojo (Shori Bujinkan Dojo) headed by Shidoshi Vic Siedleski (www.shorisha.com).

What is Taught

The style taught is Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, as headed by Grandmaster Hatsumi Masaaki of Noda, Japan. The Bujinkan incorporates several traditional Japanese schools of combat, taught collectively as Budo Taijutsu.

The Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu system of martial arts emphasizes natural and relaxed body movement. This martial art is comprised of authentic techniques from ancient samurai and ninja combat arts, taught within both their historical contexts as well as within the modern day era.

The subtle destruction of the attacker's balance and rhythm and proper control of distance and timing are a primary focus of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. These principles allow even smaller persons to overcome often times larger, faster and more powerful opponents.
